DYESTUFF&Co offers ethically sourced, transparently traded natural dyes that empower people, support rural communities, and help regenerate the planet.
We work with trusted partners whose practices we know and believe in. We’ve met the farmers, visited the land where the plants are grown, seen how the dyes are harvested, and can guarantee the people who grow and harvest them are fairly paid.
We never source from large-scale natural dye suppliers whose supply chains cannot be fully traced. We believe there must always be clear accountability for how the land is managed, how harvesting affects ecosystems, and the impact it has on the communities who depend on them.
For us, natural dyes are about more than what they bring to colour. They are about knowing where they come from, who is behind them, and ensuring that their journey from plant to pigment creates positive change along the way.
Hi, we’re Liza and Claudia
The founders behind DYESTUFF&Co
Liza & Claudia have had a long standing career within the textile industry.
Liza has been working with natural dyes for over ten years, studying Indigo dyeing under a Master Craftsmen in the mountains of Japan for 2 years. On returning to the UK she set up Indigo Garden London to grow Indigo bearing plants, run workshops and create london grown indigo with the local community, leading to collaborations with Blackhorse Lane Atelier and other small fashion brands. Alongside this she creates small lines of bespoke hand-made hand-dyed textiles.
Claudia has worked as a textile artist for over 10 years within the costume textile department for film & television, working on films such as The Barbie Movie, Wicked and Marvel. Having specialized as a dyer working with natural dyes has become a passion that forces a slower pace and endless experimentation.
